《能干猫》是一个相当棘手的项目。由于正片共 13 话被塞进 4 张 BD25，源视频码率偏低，导致画面出现较为明显的色带瑕疵。所幸制作方未加入过多噪点，除部分光污染严重的动态场景外，欠码问题大致仍在可应对范围内。
片中大量弱纹理与光照特效的使用，虽然体现了 GoHands 制作的用心，但也反过来带来了挑战。由于强色带与水彩风格纹理在视觉上高度相似，常常难以判断眼前所见究竟是真实细节，还是压缩造成的伪影。我们最终选择了保守的色带处理策略，以尽量避免误伤画面的真实内容。
Dekineko was a rather tricky anime to work on. With all 13 episodes crammed onto four BD25 discs, the source video has a low bitrate, resulting in fairly noticeable color banding. Fortunately, the anime doesn't have too much grain, so the insufficient bitrate is generally manageable, except in some dynamic scenes with intense lighting effects.
This anime makes extensive use of low-contrast textures and lighting effects. While this reflects the care GoHands put into the anime, it also presents a challenge: severe banding can look remarkably similar to watercolor-style textures, making it difficult to determine whether what we are seeing is genuine detail or an encoding artifact. We ultimately adopted a conservative debanding strategy to avoid damaging genuine image detail as much as possible.
